Well I went to go see Superman Returns on Saturday. I really enjoyed it, especially the level of respect the screenwriter and director paid to the original movie and the respect the actors paid to their characters.

My brother told me he enjoyed it but it wasn’t as epic as he was hoping. I think that if you watch Superman (1978) then you will get a good feel for the world in which you will find The Man of Steel in Superman Returns.

Anyway, I think DC is blowing Marvel away with the movies. The Spiderman movies continuously impress me, but X-Men has progressively gotten worse and Fantastic Four was disappointing in almost all respects… With DC, though, they have given us Batman Begins and Superman Returns, both terrific movies with impressive acting and compelling storylines. While I believe that Marvel Comics will continue to produce great titles, I think DC is going to handle the big screen with more care and that will make the long-term fans happy.
