iPhone 3G

Well I joined the crowd of Apple fanatics who seem to bless anything put out by Steve Jobs and his troops as the next best thing since the last thing Apple made. I’m actually not convinced that those people are wrong, though I believe that the right tool must be used for any given job, and so I’m writing this from my iPhone 3G.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with a Macbook and I had the iPhone v1 (which I really liked, partly because it was hacked and I could install a bunch of community provided apps). The Macbook wasnt as useful for work as I had hoped do I scrapped it for a Dell. That being said, I thing the Macbook would suit me as a personal computer quite nicely.

I haven’t “jailbroken” my 3G yet, as I did with the v1, and am still debating of it’s worth the risk of bricking this thing for the sake of more freedom to use of as I see fit. I must say that the introduction of iPhone 2.0, the SDK, the availability of apps with needing to jailbreak is wonderful. So far the apps I have installed are:

    Sellout. But I still lobe you (and am mildly jealous). I’ve been eying the Asus eeePC for a while myself….
